To my dearest husband and favorite military man,
You have been in the Navy for over 17 years now. I admire your dedication to your country, community and family. You make me so very proud every day. I am amazed at how you always give 110% at everything you do but especially with your job in the Navy. I have watched you work your tail off to climb the ranks of the military. You have whole heartedly earned everything you have received in the Navy. You have accomplished so much since you joined the Navy back in 1995. You have won several awards, accommodations, medals and certificates over the years. I have stood by and supported you for over 12 of those years and will continue to stand by you and support you in your career with the US Navy. Whether you retire at your 20 year mark or stay in until your 30 year mark know that I will always be here standing beside you, supporting you and loving you!
You are currently deployed to Djibouti Africa and won’t return home until July of 2013. I miss you terribly and love you immensely and unconditionally. Daddy, I am so proud to call you my father and Johnnie is so proud to call you his father-in-law. We love listening to your stories and sharing great memories with you. You were only a teenager travelling the world and venturing through dangerous territories.Paris Island... I couldn't imagine the terror that you guys endured there. From Lawonza/Johnnie - Grandad, you inspire us so much and you've always put your family first. Thank you for sharing and teaching the love of God to alI of your children and grandchildren. You have impacted so many lives, including ours in such a powerful, positive way. We love you and on this day we salute you! P.S. We know we'll be stuck in the house for the next few days because of this hurricane so we're looking forward to hearing more stories!

Chris, I just want to thank you for your commitment and sacrifice for this country. I know what you do requires great courage, strength, determination, self-sacrifice, integrity, respect, honor, and most of all love. Love for your country, family, friends, fellow soldiers, and even strangers. When you joined the military, you longed to make a positive change. You have accomplished that and so much more. You and the other soldiers have not only impacted the people in your lives, but you have impacted the world by keeping us all safe. When I look at you, I see a conqueror. You have conquered the past with great triumph, and are pressing towards the future with great love, strength, wisdom and integrity as not only a military man, but a Kingdom man, a warrior for Christ. As your helpmate, I want you to know that I love, honor, respect, and support every area of your life and purpose. And on today, I salute you. Niel has been my friend since 2005! The year we entered Theodore High school as lost freshmen with no idea where our lives would take us! Now Niel is a successful military man and I am engaged and I dont think either of us could be more happy unless we hit the lottery but its safe to say life is good :) He always loved my Toyota Celica and racing me out of the parking lot in school... I wonder who you can race when you work for the govt? I just wanted to send a salute to Niel to let him know how proud I am of him and how much I respect him for putting his life on the line for me every day! Love ya buffy! ;D
